Hello!  We adore this drink –it’s loaded with great stuff to get your body back on the straight and slim! 😉   This “Flush” will help to prevent you from feeling hungry and overdoing it on unhealthy foods as  it fills your stomach — and it contains a stellar array of nutrient-packed, cleansing and rinsing ingredients, which are especially important to support your body in it’s natural detoxification process.  Although your body is equipped to detox and cleanse itself on its own, naturally, certain health-promoting ingredients, like these assist it in its process. As you lose weight these nutrients become especially vital–  they are needed to flush toxins including end products of fat metabolism.  Since fat holds on to toxins, as you slim down, these rinsing ingredients are a key component in keeping your body healthy.  OR if you overindulge, these same nutrients are key to get rid of those toxins!

Psst…here are a few other drinks with similar benefits:

Ginger and Carrot Slim-down Smoothie: Potassium rich cantaloupe and apples round out the phytonutrient-rich ginger and carrots to make this an ideal beverage to restore normal fluid balance

Detoxifying Green Tea Smoothie:  Packed with potassium and water plus phytonutrients to neutralize toxins, this refreshing smoothie is delish.

Apple Cider Vinegar Mint “Detox” Drink: Among many great ingredients that help to flush bloat, it’s got mint–we like to think of it as a peace maker in the body It eases indigestion and calms the stomach, likely by improving the flow of bile through the stomach, which helps to speed and ease digestion. Thanks in part to it’s anti-inflammatory antioxidant rosmarinic acid, it “calms your insides” to ease the havoc inside your body!

Lemon Mint “Detox” Drink: Lemon, mint and ginger flood your body with nutrients that help your body to fight of damage from foreign invaders and free radicals.

Here’s why this drink works it’s magic:

Ginger contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory components. As an antioxidants it is able to neutralize free radicals, chemicals that can travel through the body and cause damage to healthy cells. When you overindulge on food and drink and your intestinal tract is acting out in response, i.e.–you’re feeling bloated and your tummy is full of discomfort, ginger is great! You simply need to settle your insides so they can start calming down, repairing, de-puffing, rebooting and rinsing the bloat. Your body responds to poor food choices and toxins with inflammation. So preventing that inflammation means not only will you have a less inflamed inside and less stomach distress, but also that you’ll be healthier in the long haul! Chronic inflammation causes damage to tissues in the body and it speeds the aging process. It also wreaks havoc on your insides so preventing it means less bloating and puffiness so that you can feel your best!
In addition to the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant power of ginger, here are a few other bonuses:

Ginger is often used to aid in digestion by alleviating symptoms of gastrointestinal distress and relieving nausea. It promotes elimination of intestinal gas and acts as an antispasmodic by relaxing and soothing the intestinal tract (goodbye puffiness and bloat, hello calmer, flatter tummy!)

Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties, so it protects the cells from damage done by free radicals and other toxins–like those from not-so-great food and drink choices.

Lemon, and tangerine help to promote the activity of a liver enzyme that convert harmful, toxic substances to less harsh chemicals (via the liver through a compound called d-limonene.) Citrus fruits are also packed with vitamin C, which keeps the skin radiant and youthful by helping to boost levels of collagen, which helps to keep the skin elastic. And they add a refreshing perk to any drink!
