What’s today’s energy packed winter ingredient? KALE! Kale is the new green leafy veggie that tastes delicious mixed with just about anything!

Kale contains few calories, a lot of fiber, and even more antioxidants! Antioxidants are used in your body to protect cells from free radicals that damage the body. This means kale’s antioxidants protect your body, keeping it healthy so that you don’t end up sick and exhausted! Instead, you’ll have energy for activity!

Try these baked kale chips for a crunchy snack!

Easy Crunchy Kale Chips


  • 1 bunch of kale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Preheat oven to 350°F. Remove kale leaves from the thick stem and break into bite size pieces. Wash and dry kale and sprinkle with olive oil on a baking sheet. Bake for about 10-15 minutes until edges are brown. Yum!
