When we’re busy, we need quick meals that we can whip up in a flash. These spinach and feta turkey burgers were so easy to make, absolutely delicious to eat, and required just five minutes of prep time! They’re high in protein from the turkey and low-fat feta, and the spinach gives an iron boost!
Directions:
- In a large bowl, combine 1 pound of lean ground turkey breast, 1 slightly beaten egg, 5 ounces of frozen spinach (defrosted), 1/2- 3/4 cup low–fat feta (depending on how cheesy you want them), and 1/2 tsp of salt and a pinch of pepper.
- Mix well, combining all ingredients.
- Form into 4 patties and place on grill pan coated with cooking spray. Grill until cooked thoroughly all the way through. They’re delicious with slices of grilled onion and zucchini! We like them with a whole grain bun, or on a plate.
Note: If you can’t find low-fat feta, use less a little less than ½ cup of reduced fat feta.
These burgers are delicious for dinner, and leftovers and great reheated for lunch! Can’t beat getting a great lunch out of the deal! They are so quick and easy, and the feta gives an unexpected new flavor to classic turkey burgers. What’s your healthy burger recipe?
