Is it just us, or have you also noticed that the gym is flooded with people you’ve never seen before for the first few days of the New Year? Although we find it frustrating when we have to wait to use equipment that we can usually hop right on at the same time we’re so happy to see a new group of people choosing to be proactive about their health!
Unfortunately these exercise newbies usually don’t last too long, and by the third week in January, the crowd seems to have thinned (no pun intended), and it’s back to being just us regulars in the gym.
This is because it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. So, if your New Year’s resolution is to get to the gym more, eat more healthfully, or anything else for that matter, push through those first 3 weeks this month and you’ll be more successful at adopting this years’ resolution!
