Sticking with your New Year’s Resolutions, Steps 4-6

Still not convinced that you can stick with your resolutions? Well, we KNOW you can! A major factor in keeping your resolutions is telling yourself you can. It will be hard at times, but you know yourself best and you are the only person who can make yourself do it!

Here are three more of our favorite tips that we use in our everyday lives. They keep us wanting to do more and help us to never give up!

4. WORK TOGETHER: Trying to obtain your resolutions on your own can prove to be not only difficult but also lonely! More likely than not, someone close to you has made similar resolutions as you have made and you can work together to keep each other motivated and confident. And when it comes to working out, doing it with someone else makes it interesting and makes the time go faster!

5. REWARD, REWARD, REWARD: As you come closer and closer to reaching your goals, it is very important to reward yourself along the way. As you make significant strides towards whatever your resolutions may be, do something that you wouldn’t normally do for yourself! Go get a massage; buy something you have been eyeing in your favorite store—maybe a new pair of sneakers. Whatever it may be, it is key do something to prove to yourself that you are and will continue to work hard and achieve your goals!

6. SLOW AND STEADY: There’s no rush! No matter what your resolution might be, it is safe to say that most people expect or would like to see an instant change. Unfortunately, long-lasting results don’t happen as fast as most would like. In the end, it’s not about how fast you lost weight or how fast you changed your unhealthy habits; all that matters is that you did it and you did it the right way!
