Sesame Ginger Cookies

Baking with our families is one of our favorite pastimes! It combines two of the most wonderful things, family and food! As we’ve been mentioning all week, the key is to bake healthy and energizing desserts instead of baking heavy desserts loaded with extra fat and calories that bog you down and make you feel lethargic and heavy.

So here’s another fantastic, energizing dessert recipe– sesame ginger cookies.

Ginger is a powerful herb that has been linked to cancer prevention and treatment, reducing inflammation and pain, and preventing the common cold and flu. This is a natural source that boosts our immune systems and provides is with energy to use throughout the day!

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of sesame seeds
  • 1 tbs of ginger powder
  • ¼ cup of hemp seeds
  • 1 cup of shredded coconut, unsweetened
  • 2/3 cup of pitted dates

Combine together all ingredients in a food processor and mix until a dough forms. Roll into balls or whatever shape you desire, have fun with it!

Makes about 10-12 cookies at 75 calories each! Take a bite and Rev up your energy!
