Lyssie’s Moving! Get Your ENERGY to MOVE on–to the gym, to work or to WHEREVER!

In honor of Lyssie packing up and moving this week, here’s a tip to help you to get your ENERGY to MOVE on, wherever you may be moving throughout your day– to the gym, to work or to watch the kids soccer game.

Simply focus on slowing down your breath. This will activate your parasympathetic nervous (PSNS), aka your “rest and digest” system. It conserves energy as it slows the heart rate taking away the stress that keeps us living on an adrenaline rush and that might be draining our energy.

Healing and regeneration can only occur when the body is operating from the PSNS.

Slow down the breath; it can be as simple as this:

Inhale for 10 counts, hold for 10 counts, exhale for 10 counts. This three point breath will relax the body and mind immediately, and when done consistently, can bring you back to center. Practice for 3 to 11 minutes.

How do you de-stress?
