Morning Detox Shot

  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 medium apple
  • ¼ inch knob of ginger or a dash of ginger powder
  • Dash of turmeric
  • Dash of Cayenne pepper
  1. Squeeze the juice of ½ a whole lemon into each glass.
  2. If using a juicer, juice apple and ginger, and add to the lemon juice. If you don’t have a juicer, use a high-powered blender to blend the apple and ginger. Add ¼ cup of water to make it easier to blend.
  3. Top off the shot with a dash of turmeric and cayenne pepper. Start off with a small amount of cayenne so you can see how much “heat” you prefer.
  4. Stir it all together, and sip away.
  5. If shots aren’t your thing, you can always add a cup of water to dilute the mixture and drink it up that way. Cheers!
