Getting Your Kids To Eat Healthy

Wanna get kids excited about eating healthy foods?.

With so many unhealthy snack and meal options and so much advertising convincing children that the unhealthy options are what they want to be eating, it can be hard to convince them otherwise.

So how can you get your kids interested in eating healthy foods? Involve them in the entire eating process! Start by bringing your kids shopping with you and then have them help you to prepare the food to pique their interest. By involving them in each step and letting them see how they can play a part in what they eat, they are much more vested in eating it and they enjoy it much more.

We love taking Tammy’s twins to the farmers market. Not only do they get to help pick out the food, but they can also talk to the farmers about how the food is grown. When we can get out of the city, we also love to take the girls berry picking in the summer or apple and pumpkin picking in the fall. When we get home, we can then make something delicious, such as coring the apples and baking them with cinnamon and raisins filling the core. This is an especially fun way to get them involved in the entire eating process. What are your favorite ways to get your kids involved?
